crarr; With pure, fulfilling gameplay, who needs a story? Really?
For anybody that might have missed this long-running series (or simply kept their distance for whatever reason), Monster Hunter is not a story-driven RPG, but a mission-based adventure title where the sole goal is to take on quests, explore new environments, fight the various monsters, and collect the bounty to upgrade your weapons and armor for more difficult missions. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is here, ready and willing to suck away any minutes you may think you have left.

MCV:
Nintendo has launched five (count them) Nintendo 3DS-related products today. Two consoles (or four, if you're counting special editions) and three games, including the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and Monster Hunter 4.
MCV has played on them, and we like them. But just how significant are these launches? Who are Nintendo targeting the consoles and these games at? And what does the future look like for Nintendo's portable? We asked Nintendo UK's head of consumer marketing, James Honeywell.

The Monster Hunter series can trace its origins back to the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable platforms, but over the past five years the franchise found a new home with Nintendo. After the stellar release of Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii and its HD update for the Wii U, Capcom is taking the experience to the 3DS with Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Considering the nature of these games, there may be some reservations over the decision to make a mainline entry exclusively for a portable system, but after spending dozens of hours slaying all manner of beasts and behemoths, its clear any concerns are unfounded.
